Evidence and Witness of the Resurrection (Ac 1:1-8)
Intro. | Final promise of the resurrected Christ(Ac.1:8)
1. Final promise of the resurrected Christ - Only
-Do not fear the powerful nations. But you’ll receive power when
the Holy Spirit comes upon you and be my witnesses. It
happened exactly that way.
-I held to the covenant and God gave me 5 powers
(Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical, Financial, People)
2. Have faith in the word of God that will absolutely be fulfilled
-Don’t believe the lies, and words of others, believe in God’s word.
3. If you hold to the covenant you’ll absolutely be victorious
-Holding to covenant, you can be victorious in any situation.

1. The resurrected Lord has given(Promise of Mt. of Olives)
1) Christ(1), God’s Kingdom(3), Only Holy Spirit(8)
-He gave the unique thing mankind absolutely cannot do without:
Christ who destroyed Satan, Disaster, and Authority of Hell.
-He spoke of God’s Kingdom for 40 days. Works of Re-creation.
-But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you
and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and
to the ends of the earth. It happened exactly as he said it.

-Transcend my thoughts, thoughts of others, thoughts of the world.
They are good, but cannot save. Devoted themselves to prayer.
3) 24, 25, Eternity
-Gave the power to pray 24hrs. Answers continue 25. It is not my
own. Eternity.
2. Resurrected Lord works through power of the Throne
1) Works within difficulties-start(Works of Mark’s Upper room)
-Surrounded on every side, but Christ worked in Mark’s Upper
room from the Throne. The greatest promise of the bible was
fulfilled. This was the start.
2) Works amidst Chaos-Scattered(Works of the Antioch Church)
-Great chaos occurred and the Antioch Church was formed.
Those who scattered because of the persecution over Stephen.
3) Works within hardship-Turning point to Challenge(Ac.13,16,19)
-In Ac.13,16,19, God gave the turning point to be able to
challenge. Hardship is the turning point in life.
3. The work of the resurrected Lord
(Spiritual works through the spirit)
1) Raised Paul to heal Ac.13, 16, 19.
-Ch.13(Shaman), 16(possessed fortuneteller), 19(idols)
2) Entered the synagogues to save the dying posterity.
3) Conquered Rome with the workers of Rm.16.
