?Moses who came down from Mt. Sinai?
(Exodus 34:29~35)
Introduction
▶Moses went up to Mt. Sinai to receive God?s Word and when he came back down, today?s Scripture reading says that he was radiant.
What is the covenant that we must hold on to today? What happens when a person gets hospitalized? They realize that they too can get sick and they are able to see a new world before them. What must we do when we are faced with a great difficulty? What must we do when we are met with an important situation? What must we do when we must make an important decision?
Verse 3 says that God didn?t even allow the flocks and herds to graze in front of the mountain. In that place, Moses fasted and prayed, and when he came down from the mountain, his face shone with a light. What must we do in order to see a different world?
1. Fasting prayer
▶Fasting prayer is the way for us to see a different world without getting a disease, and it is what makes us most human.
(1) Ezra 8:21, a fast was proclaimed next to the Ahava Canal
(2) Jeremiah 36:9, all the Israelites fasted in order to solve a great crisis
(3) Joel 1:14, they fasted
(4) Jonah 3:5, all of the disasters were solved when the people fasted in prayer
(5) 1 Samuel 7:6, everyone gathered at Mizpah and fasted and prayed
(6) Esther 9:1, Purim ? the Israelites prayed and fasted for 3 days
(7) Matthew 4:2, even Jesus fasted in prayer before beginning his earthly ministry
2. Moses? fasting prayer on Mt. Sinai
(1) God led Moses to a quiet place and instructed him to fast and pray. This speaks about the prayer that no one can disrupt or interrupt.
(2) He prayed without even drinking water. This means that he truly believed in the works of God as he prayed.
(3) Moses? face shone. Verse 33 says that Moses covered his face with a veil. This means that he valued God?s presence and the working of His Word more than anything else.
3. The mystery of the power of fasting prayer
(1) Even religions and the law have fasting prayer. When people who have the Gospel fast and pray, tremendous works will arise.
(2) Acts 13:1~4, they did fasting prayer and went out, receiving the guidance of the Holy Spirit
(3) Acts 14:23, they selected a location and asked for people to fast and pray
(4) This is the weapon that servant?s of the Lord, church lay leaders, and Remnants must first have.
▶ Works will arise when we take time to enjoy the complete Gospel, complete prayer, and complete faith.
Conclusion ? Fasting prayer that we can enjoy in the Gospel
(1) They fasted and prayed within the realization of the Gospel ? works are happening even now
(2) When we first began Immanuel Church, we did fasting prayer. We didn?t know it then, but now we can see that those prayers all became a foundation for world evangelization.
(3) When I faced the greatest hardship, I truly held on to the covenant of the Gospel and fasted and prayed. From that moment on, God bestowed upon me great and important answers that I cannot even fully express in words.
▶Whenever you or your church needs to do an important work, there is a need for you to pray at least a day?s worth of fasting prayer. You need the separate strength of God, and you need to see the separate world that God has prepared. May you experience the new world that God has prepared today.

?The originator of military missions?
(1 Samuel 17:41~49)
Introduction
▶We might not consider military missions as being very important but a total of 16,000 wars have broken out upon this earth. Even now, Korea is in a very serious state. The state of affairs of the nation is the responsibility of both the progressive and conservative leaders of our nation. In this light, military missions is so very important. How must we carry out military missions, considering the current state of this world?
How was David able to do military missions so well? David had three time schedules.
1. Time schedule of enjoyment
(1) 1 Samuel 16:1~13, Samuel and David met. What do you think Samuel said to David?
▶He probably told him about the Philistines, the Ark of the Covenant, the origin and background of the Ark of the Covenant, the exodus of the Israelites, the covenant of the blood of Exodus 3:18 (Gospel), and the mystery of Genesis 3:15 that was passed down from generation to generation.
(2) David held onto this message and prepared his faith and skills (talents) (Psalms 78:70~72).
(3) Man of prayer (from among the 150 psalms, David wrote 73)
▶David prayed scheduled prayer (he had the answer to be happy when he was by himself and he had assurance), continuous prayer (he had assurance in all areas), and he prayed concentrated prayer (he had strength). You must begin these three things. David had the mystery of prayer.
2. Time schedule of standing as a witness
▶David finally began to experience the time schedule of standing as a witness.
David was running an errand when he heard Goliath defying the Lord. At that time, this is what David confessed.
(1) 1 Samuel 17:29, I have a reason.
(2) 1 Samuel 17:33~37, God will deliver me from the hand of him who defies the Lord.
(3) 1 Samuel 17:39~40, shepherd?s attire ? he just carried with him the things that he used when he was a shepherd.
(4) 1 Samuel 17:45~47, I come against you in the name of the Lord God. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord?s and He will give all of you into our hands.?
(5) 1 Samuel 17:58, ?I am the son of your servant, Jesse of Bethlehem.?
3. Time schedule of being a disciple
(1) David?s years of suffering and persecution come, and it is at this time that David begins to find and gather disciples.
(2) David becomes king (1 Chronicles 29:10~14, he prepared to build the temple to house the Ark of the Covenant)
(3) 1 Kings 2:1~9, the last words of David. He told Solomon to prove himself a man and to know the Lord his Creator.
Conclusion
(1) When you meet with people, share the Gospel with them and help them to personalize it.
(2) Then, raise them as disciples (Matthew 13:1~58).
(3) Then, the time schedule of globalization will come (Matthew 28:16~20, Mark 16:15~20, Acts 1:8).
▶In just 250 years, all of Rome was evangelized. The key to this was the Remnants arose and the military was changed. Today, all of the individuals who are doing military missions must enter into the blessing of prayer (scheduled, continuous, and concentrated prayer). I bless you in the name of the Lord Jesus that you may receive the new answers and new strength for military missions, as a new wind blows in this field of ministry.
